As part of our post-lockdown initiative, we have formed a team of 5 people who will be taking part in the Genesis Mission training program led by Fr Jon Bielawski from the Diocese of Plymouth.

Genesis’ vision for parish renewal is based on establishing missionary disciples in every parish starting with a small team who in turn, will train others. The program aims to equip and train people to confidently evangelize in everyday life and to establish parish evangelization teams. We are called by our baptism to do just that but sometimes we lack the confidence to do it! And yet, Our Lord reminds us: ‘It is not you who speak: the Spirit of your Father speaks in you.’ (Matt: 10-20). 

The team, formed by Helena McInally, Irene Marshall, Angie Hart and Fr Gordon from our parish and Sylvia Lanz from the parish partnership (South Woodham Ferrers), will begin their training via Zoom for six weeks starting this Tuesday (6.30 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.) to help us reach out to those outside our regular Mass attenders. 

The course will be led by Fr Jon and Michelle Thompson. Please SUPPORT US WITH YOUR PRAYERS from now until the end of October so that it may be a profitable experience for them and for the parish.
