On Wednesday we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, patroness of our diocese. Each summer a large group of pilgrims from our diocese visits the place where Our Lady appeared to St Bernadette. The collection that is taken up throughout our diocese today makes it possible for people to go on pilgrimage who would be unable to spend this time in Lourdes without support from our team of doctors, nurses and helpers, or without financial assistance.
