IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL OUR PARISHIONERS

As you might know by now, the Bishops Conference of England and Wales has suspended all masses and services in our Catholic Churches.
Masses will continue to be said everyday but behind CLOSED DOORS!


Only in times of persecution the Church has experienced a privation of the Sacraments in this way, but never in so many countries at the same time.
However, it doesn't mean that we can’t be united in prayer. Today, more than ever, we must continue to pray TOGETHER for each other and for our beloved Church.
Specially as the Easter Triduum approaches. HOW?

    • In our parish, Fr Gordon will continue to say mass everyday including Sundays at 9am from behind closed doors at Kelvedon.
      We can join him every week day and on Sunday at 9am from our homes by following the liturgy of the day in our missals.
      In the absence of Sacramental Communion, we can receive Spiritual Communion (see prayer below). Alternatively, we can use the daily mass liturgy via http://www.universalis.com/ You can download the app or just log in from your computer. 

 

 

Emergencies and Sacrament of the Sick can be available by appointment: please ring Fr Gordon on 01376-570348

 

*SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER OF ST APLHONSUS:My Jesus, I believe that you are present in this Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love you above all things and I passionately desire to receive you into my soul.
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen.
Allow Jesus to come to you, speak with him and give thanks as you normally do.  

The Church remains open to all for private prayer. Jesus waits for all of us in the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle. As part of our preparations for Easter, why don’t you just stop by to keep him company and pray for all those so much in need of protection in the coming weeks, for our priests and for his beloved Church?
